Department of Sociology

The Department of Sociology was established in 1960 by Dr. Vilas Sangave. From the very beginning the strength of the students was constantly increasing for graduate and post-graduate classes.

The pioneer Head of the Department, Dr. Vilas Sangave continued as the head up to 1975. Mr. Gurunath Nadgonde, K. B. Wadekar, and N. K. Lad, worked as his colleagues in the Department.

At present Dr. Chonde heads the Department.
